WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Our hope is that you leave Kenya with a deeper relationship with Christ and others as well as a greater understanding and appreciation for working sharing the love of Christ in a developing country. We are confident once you experience this incredible country and the people in it you’ll feel so connected you’ll have to go back!

Arrival Itinerary
Welcome to Kenya! As you arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi it will be close to midnight. You will go through immigration, collect your bags, and drive about 20 minutes to the team guesthouse. Once you arrive you can take a shower and get to sleep. Get as much rest as you can as you prepare for an early morning in-country flight!
Saturday Itinerary
Teams will have an early morning; the entire team will board an early 30-minute flight from Nairobi to Eldoret. After arriving in Eldoret, teams will make a two hour journey via our team vans to Kitale. Once in Kitale, teams will go directly to Zoe Ministries where you will be greeted by our Zoe children and staff. You will be on site around 10am. Then, each team will have a brief meeting and receive a tour of the Zoe property. After, we encourage you to begin your relationship building with our children and staff! Ministry projects will begin Saturday afternoon.
Sunday Activities
Get ready for an amazing church service! Each Sunday our teams will attend and serve at our church service. Teams can look forward to authentic Kenyan worship and an impactful word. This is also a great opportunity to connect with the members of our community. Don’t forget your Bible!
Monday Itinerary
Teams will have the opportunities to serve alongside our various community outreach teams during their time in Kenya. That includes working with our community engagement team as we visit local schools who we partner with through our Education Partnerships. Each team will have the opportunity to put on a Gospel-centered skit for the children of a school. This is always a great way for our teams to help grow Zoe’s bond with the schools we work with.
Tuesday Itinerary
On Tuesday you will work with our clean water team as we visit multiple communities that Zoe has partnered with in bringing clean water to. Get ready to for a truly impactful experience as we work together to bring the Gospel to each community we work in.
Wednesday Itinerary
Each team will begin their day visiting an authentic African market! You will have the opportunity to purchase great handmade souvenirs to bring back home while also supporting the local economy. After visiting the market, teams will make their way out to Zoe to spend the rest of the day building relationships with our children and staff. This is a great opportunity for each team to love on our children, snuggle babies, and bond with our on-site staff. Sadly, teams will say their goodbyes to our entire Zoe family Wednesday evening.
Thursday Itinerary
Teams will experience a different side of Kenya! All teams will wake up early and begin a five hour journey in our team vans to Lake Nakuru National Park for a one-night safari. You can look forward to a stop at the Equator, a game drive, and some beautiful scenery. Get ready for a long but adventurous day! All teams will end their day with a team debrief from one of Zoe’s leaders to discuss your week.
Friday Itinerary
Teams will have an early morning game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park before leaving for Naivasha mid-morning. Once in Naivasha, teams will enjoy a boat tour on Lake Naivasha and then enjoy a nice lunch before departing back to Nairobi. Teams will arrive back into Nairobi mid-afternoon in order to prep for their flight back to the U.S. Teams will leave from the Jomo Kenyatta Airport around midnight after enjoying one last dinner with a Zoe team leader at the airport.
