Moses' Story: Running Towards Hope

He dreamed of a home where he could be a child, play freely with friends, feel loved, and grow up in a safe place.

Tae McGehee

“For the first time in a long time, I felt hope that life could be different.

Moses’ childhood was marked by hardship after his parents separated. Left in an unstable home, meals became scarce, punishments were frequent, and one of the hardest losses was being denied the opportunity to simply play with other children.

Everything changed when he arrived at Zoe.

Today, Moses has nutritious meals, attends school, and spends his afternoons doing what he once dreamed about which was playing soccer with friends in a safe and loving environment. Through the care of his house parent and the support of Zoe, he has discovered what it feels like to be loved, protected, and full of hope.

Now, Moses’ dreams of becoming a pilot while continuing to pursue his passion for soccer. His story is a reminder that when a child is given safety, love, and the freedom to be a child, their future begins to change.
